Ear Wax Removal

Ear Wax Removal: Single Ear £30; Both Ears £50

John Collins GN, ON, MHN, BSc

Lyme Bay Ear Clinic was founded and is operated by John Collins, a practitioner with over 35 years of nursing experience. He has completed additional specialist training in ear care, ear wax removal and microsuctioning.

Excessive and impacted ear wax can cause pain, reduce hearing and affect balance. Many hearing-aid wearers experience ‘whistling’ and reduced hearing-aid function due to excessive ear wax. Microsuction ear wax removal is a clean and safe solution.

A small, thin, low-pressure suction device is used to remove the wax gently and comfortably. The process is also less messy than irrigation because no water is involved, cutting down on the risk of infection. We carefully examine your ears before starting your treatment using an otoscope attached to a mobile phone that can show you a live video of the inside of your ear canal. This allows you to see the ‘before’ and ‘after’ effects of your treatment.
